The foremost principle of entrepreneurship that we obsess over is that of sustainable business impact. Inspired and driven by this principle, the SED Incubation programmes that we create, build, implement and manage all consider the business impact on the measured entity, the sustainability of the SMME beneficiary and the overall development of the SA economy.

Ownership.
The company is owned 71% by the Black Executive management team and 29% by the Black Artisan Trust, a broad based trust dedicated to the empowerment and training of existing and new black artisans to the short term insurance supply chain.
Experience.
The management team of SED has worked in the enterprise development and supplier development industry for over 10 years and has helped corporates and big business establish, develop and build SMME's.

Rashied Essop
Chief Executive OfficerRashied Essop, a qualified chartered accountant, has spent the last fifteen years in the financial services industry and his experience ranges from financial reporting, taxation, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions to managing private equity investments and developing black Entrepreneurs for the PPC Ntsika Fund. Rashied has occupied senior management roles in Absa, PPC Ntsika, Development Bank of Southern Africa and the Hollard Insurance Group. He also served on the HR Sub Committee of the CATHSETA Board and is the ex-Chairman of Vela Taxi Finance (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of CTU.
